It is interesting to me that some of our most futuristic-appearing architecture have the most organically inspired shapes. In this sketch sheet, I looked at the convergence and growth of lines in Santiago Calatrava's City of Arts and Sciences. If not a martian helmet, the first building is reminiscent of a beetle that could open its outer shell and fly away. The Science Museum of course has a structure like a dinosaur carcas, but in my sketches looks like a close up on leaves and a tree.
