La Grande Arche et Paris

So a few of us went Paris last weekend, unfortunately the weekend fell right after study travel right when all our work was due. Fun stuff. But it was worth it; Paris was awesome. We saw a lot of the expected stuff, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and such stuff. But the Eiffel Tower sparkles at night, which was amazing. And there was a service or something going on at Notre Dame when we went, which was pretty cool too. But one of the best things was the new arch that we went to see, thanks to Matt. It's this new modern arch that's at the other end of the Champs-Elysees (in a line with the Arch de Triomphe). It just massive, which is part of the reason that it's so cool...You can't really get the feel for it from the picture. But it's really like an office building or something like that. And it's in La Defense, which is like the business area of Paris...and also where a ton of modern buildings are. It was quite nice to see new, shiny things after seeing all the old buildings.
